ARTICLE K - MEETINGS

Section 1. Services of the Church:

a.  Members of the church are encouraged to assemble regularly for public worship, whether it be morning, evening, or at other various times throughout the week for the purpose of studying the Word of God, prayer, communion, fellowship, outreach, or ministry training.

b.  The Senior Pastor or Deacon Board shall set dates for baptisms and the Right Hand of Fellowship.

Section 2. Business Meetings:

Notice of a business meeting and its purpose shall be announced from the pulpit for two successive Sundays before the date of the meeting.

Section 3. Special Business Meetings:

A special business meeting for a particular purpose shall be called by the Moderator when requested in writing by 25% of the voting membership verified by the church clerk, or upon request of the Deacon Board. Notice of such a meeting and its purpose shall be announced from the pulpit for two successive Sundays before the meeting.

Section 4. Annual Business Meeting:

a.  The business year shall begin January 1, and end o­n December 31.

b.  The annual Business Meeting shall be held within the last week of December or the first three weeks of January.

c.  Church officers, except the pastors, shall be elected in the Annual Business Meeting.

d.  Annual written reports of individual officers and ministry teams shall be completed in the first week of December and presented to the church during the Annual Business Meeting.

e.  The Church Budget for the coming year should be voted upon at this meeting.

Section 5. Quorum:

Twenty-five percent (25%) of the members who are eligible to vote shall constitute a quorum. Any business meeting must have the quorum present to make it a legal business meeting.
